A RITUAL TO INVOKE THE FUTURE

this is to be done at the same zulu time, as we are separated in space, we need to be held together by time, at least.
this ritual will sew your city /cities closer together.

you can be one mover or several movers and one sewer.


tools for this ritual.
* direct communication between sewer and mover. of course it should be possible to keep it up without technology. think of how you can keep a strong connection. talk the ritual through beforehand and decide on a meeting time and point for the aftercare.
* sewer: a candle. your favourite book (language doesn't matter here, feeling does), a pencil (or, if you dare, a pen), something to keep time
* mover: some chalk (or, if you dare, a permament marker) a dress to fit the future you, something to keep time


preparations.
read the instruction
decide on a timeframe for the ritual together. how long do you want it to take? set the time on your devices.
decide on a number between 3 and 42 that will lead you through the ritual (further referred to as Y)

prepare for the ritual by answering these questions to one another to get into the ritualistic mood.

* in which city will you want to live in five years from now and why?
* how do you want to live then? how is it different from the way you live now?
* try to remember: what did your day look like yesterday?
* try to remember: what will your ideal day look like?

mover: the ritual will begin at your local squat.
sewer: the ritual will begin with the last sentence of your favourite book.
mark the beginning by writing an o and an a.
mark the beginning by breathing in and out and saying: from o to a from a to o, all the things that are will go.
sewer: light the candle.
mover: take the first step to the side.
sewer: read Y words, beginning on the last page on the first line.
mover: take Yx2 steps. halt and change direction.
sewer: read Y words, beginning on the first page on the last line.
mover: take yx3 steps. halt and leave a mark.
sever: read y words, beginning on the second-to-last page on the first line.
mover: take yx4 steps. halt and change direction.
sewer: read y words, beginning on the second page on the last line.
mover: take yx5 steps. halt and leave a mark.
.... this continues until your time runs out....
sewer: blow out the candle.
both mark the end by writing an a and an o.
